I enjoyed this article…but nothing I didn’t already know. Also they didn’t mention that it was Cobra Commander’s brother that was driving the car that killed Snake Eyes’ family. But I suppose even though it was wrote by Larry Hama it took place in the Image/DDP continuity. This seems to just be about the Marvel comics.

If you ever want to check out some of the G.I. Joe comics let me know and I will give you some recommendations. :smiley:

Thanks, my friend! I’ll definitely give you a shout out for that. I’ll probably have to familiarize myself with the basic concept and characters and setting as I never ever saw even one cartoon of G.I. Joe. :frowning:

You don’t have to know the cartoon to enjoy the comic as the comic is vastly superior to the cartoon. Unlike the cartoon the comic starts with an introduction to the original 13 Joes. Hawk, Stalker, Scarlett, Snake Eyes, Flash, Grandslam, Zap, Breaker, Rockn’Roll, Steeler, Clutch, Grunt and Short-Fuse. The basic concept is that they are the best of the best the military has and are called in for impossible missions.

The cartoon is pretty good and has some really good episodes. Memories of Mara is an excellent episode. :slight_smile: I can recommend you some great episodes to get familiar with the series, same with Transformers.
I wouldn’t recommend the animated G.I. Joe movie LOL. It has a couple good parts but I am not keen on the over all story with Cobra-la.

Thanks! I’ll add that to my watch list. Not surprisingly, I seem to be adding a lot more items to my list than I am crossing out! :laugh I really need to start watching them.

Pretty much an army of Rambos lol. I liked the original concept of 13. Then the inclusion of some other Joes trained in specific areas was fine. When they had pretty much assembled the YMCA, of army guys, policemen, sailors, construction workers, Indians, motorcyclists etc they should have focussed on building the characters instead of just adding more fodder background characters.
After the YMCA line up was done the uniform dress code got more relaxed and things went very futuristic and sci-fi, then the different groups were added like drug busters, ninjas, space marines, monster hunters, dino hunters etc.

I still have a few things I need to make time to watch also. :slight_smile:
